William V. Hipp

William V. Hipp began his surveying career in 1974 with the SC. D.O.T.  Four years later Bill went on to work for Duke Power Co. at the Cherokee nuclear station.  While with Duke Power Co. he met Wilton E. Finkenstadt and Edward F. Woodward who would later form Ashmark Land Surveyors in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Bill worked for Ashmark for twelve years and in 1995 became a P.L.S. and Formed Hipp Land Surveying Inc. in Richburg, South Carolina.  Bill has served in various capacities with Tri County Chapter SCSPLS; and is currently District 5 Director.

Bill currently operates his business from Richburg, South Carolina with his wife, Jean, of forty years who assists with office duties.  They have two children, Jenni Rose Bunkley, and  Zachary Voight Hipp. They also have two grandchildren, granddaughter, Lydia and grandson, Easten. Their son Zachary Hipp studied Land Surveying and GIS at Greenville Technical College.  He has 20 years of experience and works as a Survey Crew Chief with the family business.
